Spanish Tapas cuisine restaurant startup, TAPEO, approached me for marketing and creative direction. The project covered the initial brand-identity package, advertising collateral, several alternate logos, an interior typography mural, email marketing design, and more.
TAPEO is a family owned, contemporary restaurant and lounge, offering a unique selection of modern Portuguese and Spanish dishes.
Logo development followed my usual process, beginning with an initial set of concepts based on the brief and further discovery conversation with the client. The client then selected standouts among this initial set, as well as providing their feedback. A second set was then assembled based on the client’s selections and feedback. From this second set, a clear winner began to emerge. The winner was put through a final refinement process based upon input and feedback from the client before moving to finalization.
Typography Wall Mural
The client requested the design of a three-wall typography mural utilizing Spanish culinary language. The brief required a “chalk lettering on blackboard” style.
I completed the layout design digitally, which was then physically executed within the space by a painting team. The final result turned out phenomenally and compliments the space beautifully.
We developed two unique MailChimp email templates for the client’s email marketing program. A newsletter template and a wider, hero-focused event announcement template.
